About the Event

Experiencing racism or ableism in the education system is hard enough. But what is life like when there is both?

Join a varied group of parents who will share lived experiences of raising racialized children with disabilities. Panelists discuss what youth really need developmentally in education from various perspectives, caregiver strategies for dealing with teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and other students.

This event is a must attend for anyone interested in understanding lived experience of marginalized students and who want to change the education system to be a more inclusive safe space for everyone.
