About the Event
Birth. Babies. Motherhood. Loss. Expectations. Frustrations. Heartbreak. Joy.
As moms, and those in mothering roles, we will all have our own personal birthing stories.
These stories may be joyful. They may be traumatic. They may feel long ago, they may feel incomplete.
As we explore Reproductive Justice and how our personal characteristics contribute to the intersection of our experiences (ie. how race and racism negatively impacts one's reproductive experience) we would like to hold space for anyone who would like to share their birth story.
We welcome stories of "good" and "bad" births. We welcome stories of choosing not to birth. We welcome stories of adoption, IVF, and loss. We welcome the story you feel compelled to share with us as we come together to honour each other's experiences.
Each person sharing will have up to 10 minutes to tell their story. We will pre-schedule 5 stories and leave the remainder of the time open for others to share and for dialogue.
**This event is open to MAR Members (in the private Facebook group) only. It is not a public event. To join our Facebook group, go to www.Facebook.com/groups/MAR1Canada**
